Back in 2009, I tried an activity that would change my life – scuba diving.
I was in Cairns, Australia and a friend at the hostel I was staying at told me about a 4-day course he took where three days were spent living on a boat on the Great Barrier Reef. He told me about all the wonderful creatures he saw, the colourful reefs and about diving at night with sharks.
I was intrigued.
And since I was all about trying anything that interested me regardless of the fear, I decided to give it a go.
Scuba diving changed my life. After living on the boat and diving with turtles, parrotfish, sting rays, and sharks, I had developed a new passion and a new appreciation for the underwater world.
After diving some of the worlds best diving locations in Asia and Australia, I decided to make it a quest to scuba dive every continent in the world. Antarctica is gonna be a tough one.
I have now dived four out of seven continents.
Asia
- Sipadan, Malaysia
- Komodo National Park, Indonesia
- Perhention Islands, Malaysia
- Malapascua, Philippines
Australia
- Great Barrier Reef
North America
- Cenotes of Riviera Maya, Mexico
South America
- Galapagos
Continents left: Africa, Antarctica and Europe. Plus going back to other amazing locations because that’s what it’s all about.
